A big thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors that made the 15th Annual SportAssist Golf Tournament a success. We were fortunate enough to have Ryan Straschnitzki “The Straz” as our special guest.
The Humboldt Broncos bus crash in April of 2018 killed 16 people and injured 13 others. While several of the survivors have returned to hockey, other members of the team have faced a long recovery. One of those players is Ryan Straschnitzki, who was paralyzed from the chest down. Over the past year, Straz has proven to be the picture of determination in the wake of devastation.
It did rain on us this year but that didn’t dampen any spirits! The Silent and Live auctions were a tremendous success, raising much needed funds for youth in need.
